Welcome to our Town of Farmington, NY web site!

This is the official Web site for the town of Farmington, New York, the gateway to the beautiful Finger Lakes Region. Located on the state Thruway, the town is home to roughly 15,000 residents and boasts miles of rolling hills and farmland as well as a growing commercial hub, mostly centered on the community's major highways, Routes 96 and 332. This site contains information about the town's many assets as well as information about local government contacts and happenings. In the upper right hand corner of your bill will be your account number and CID which you will need to register for a new account.

2025 Town & County Taxes will be sent out last day of December.

ALL UNPAID 2024 TAXES have now been passed to the Ontario County Treasurer (with additional fees added).

*The Town does NOT accept School Taxes. Please see your school tax bill for locations on where to pay.

The Farmington Town Board meets at least two times a month. 

 The next meeting would be Tuesday January 14, 2025. The 2025 Town Organizational meeting will start at 6 pm followed by the regular meeting at 7 pm. The second meeting of the month will be January 28,2025.


This is a virtual Town Hall and in person meeting where staff and residents can call in and listen to the board meeting. More information will be provided as we get closer to the meeting date.

 The Public Works committee meets at 7:30 am and Town Operations committee meets at 9 AM both in the Town Hall on Tuesday of the Town Board meeting day. Please confirm with the Supervisor's office for times and locations.

Normally Draft agendas and resolutions are posted on this site the Friday before each Town Board meeting and updated the day of the board meeting.

Planning Board and Zoning Board agendas are normally available five days prior to the meeting date. Meetings start at 7pm unless other wise listed on the Town calendar.

Ontario County Office for the Aging seeks volunteers

  • Twenty Eight Hot Meal Routes
  • Pickup and Delivery times fluctuate between 11 am and 1 pm (Clifton Springs Route 4 pm to 5 pm)
  • Pick up sites dependent upon route
  • Mileage reimbursement provided upon request
  • Training provided including the AAA Driver Improvement Course
  • Hot Meal available for volunteers
  • Valid Driver’s License and current insurance required
  • Volunteers deliver one day a week or as much or as little as desired
  • Substitute Volunteers always needed
  • Visit the Office for Aging Website at https://ontariocountyny.gov/185/Volunteer-Employment for a registration form

Veterans Luncheon

The Veterans luncheon is promoted and organized by the Farmington AMVETS Post 332 and will be held at the Mertensia Lodge on the second Wednesday of each month, any questions please feel free to call the Town Hall at 315-986-8100 or Post Commander Ed Hemminger at 585-261-4502 / edhemminger@gmail.com.
